These terms govern your use of LegendCV. We've written them in plain English because legal documents don't have to be incomprehensible.
By using LegendCV, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
We're LegendCV Inc., a Delaware corporation. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean LegendCV. When we say "you" or "your," we mean you, the person or company using our service.
You're responsible for all activity on your account, even if someone else uses it. Don't:
LegendCV is designed to help you create professional resumes and advance your career. Use it for that purpose.
You may not:
Important note on AI-generated content: Our AI suggests resume improvements, but you're responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to employers. Don't include fabricated work experience, fake degrees, or misleading accomplishments—even if the AI suggests phrasing that could be interpreted that way.
We use Stripe to process payments. You authorize us to charge your payment method for:
Failed payments may result in service interruption. Update your payment method in Settings → Billing to avoid this.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, email us at billing@legendcv.com for a full refund.
After 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime to prevent future charges, but we don't provide prorated refunds for partial months.
Cancel your subscription anytime from Settings → Billing. When you cancel:
Free accounts have usage limits (e.g., number of resumes, AI requests per month). If you hit a limit, you can either wait for it to reset or upgrade to a paid plan. Attempting to circumvent limits by creating multiple accounts violates these terms.
Your resume data, work history, and any content you create in LegendCV belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of it.
You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide our services (store it, analyze it with AI, generate suggestions, create PDFs). This license ends when you delete your account.
The LegendCV platform, including our:
...are our intellectual property. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute any of this without written permission.
You can export your resumes as PDF, Word, or JSON files anytime. This is your data—you should be able to take it with you. Go to Settings → Export Data.
LegendCV uses AI to suggest resume improvements, optimize keywords, and generate content recommendations. While we strive for accuracy:
Think of our AI as a smart assistant, not a replacement for your judgment. Always verify that your resume accurately represents your skills and experience.
We aim for 99.9% uptime, but we can't guarantee LegendCV will always be available. Downtime may occur due to:
We're constantly improving LegendCV. We may add, modify, or remove features. If we make significant changes that affect paid plans, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance.
If we ever shut down LegendCV (we hope not!), we'll give you at least 90 days notice and provide tools to export all your data.
We'll try to warn you first and give you a chance to fix the issue, unless the violation is severe (e.g., hacking attempts).
Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days (except records required for legal/tax purposes).
LegendCV is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer in your jurisdiction. Some regions don't allow liability limitations, so this may not apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out directly first. Email us at legal@legendcv.com.
For disputes that can't be resolved informally, both parties agree to binding arbitration in San Francisco, California (except for small claims court disputes under $10,000).
Disputes must be resolved individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
Entire agreement: These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LegendCV.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
Assignment: You can't transfer your account to someone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations if we're acquired or merged.
Updates to these terms: We may update these terms. For major changes, we'll email you 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
